Halloween pics and myspace....

Posted on 2006.11.11 at 15:43
Lately I haven't been good at posting or checking LJ. But now I have to do myspace because it's the only way I can really contact my brother. If you're interested check me out there, same user name. In the mean time here are some fantastic pics of halloween. A million bonus points to anyone who can guess Tony and I's costume. (Except Jen and Molly who already know.)

only black. Not only that but I really like it and am excited about it. I'm officially lame. But at least I have enough space for the kids and all their crap!

Current Music: Life Soundtrack
IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...

Opening Credits:

Waking Up:
Earth Crisis "Slither"

Fight Song:
The Tear Garden "My Thorny Thorny Crown"

Breaking up:
Asphyx "Denying The Goat"

Prom:
Wumpscut "Cry Weisenstein Cry"

Life:
Undercover Slut "Darlin Darling"

Mental Breakdown:
Nocturnus "Empire Of The Sands"

Driving:
Front Line Assembly "Schicksal"

Flashback:
Noisex "Rythm Age 1,2,3,4"

Getting Back Together:
Goatwhore "Silenced Marked By The Breaking"

Wedding:
Nurse With Wound "Dueling Banjos" (I totally should have played this at my wedding *lol*)

Birth of Child:
KMFDM "Positiv" (I think KMFDM was playing when I was in labor with Ellie)

Final Battle:
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds "Stranger Than Kindness"

Death Scene:
L7 "Just Like Me"

Funeral Song:
16 Horsepower "Hand My Teeth On Your Door"

End Credits:
Terrorfakt "Achtung!"

Technically I think this is Tony and my life together since the music in the library is half my music and half his. But coolness nonetheless.

Current Music: Falkenbach - When Gjallarhorn Will Sound
I'm so bummed I didn't here about Sock Wars  until now. *sigh* But if it happens next year, I am so there. Who cares if I end up with a pair of unwearable animal business socks. I know more then a few people who would appreciate the regifting.

Oh well back to the 16 pies and 67 dishes for tonight's equinox/harvest dinner.

So here it is, one of Molly's fingerless gloves. I designed the pattern myself. And I must admit, it came out fantastically well. The thumb increases left funky holes but they go all the way around so it looks like a design element. The picture doesn't quite do it justice, and so far all my friends surveyed love it.
What do you think Molly?

And today I am grateful I finished one glove and it turned out really really well!

Today I am grateful for these dumb little quizzes!

1. Elaborate on your default icon. Ummm...pretty self explanatory I'd say. It's totally how I feel and I love it when people snag it. I want all of LJ to use it as their default icon.
2. What's your current relationship status? Taken forever and ever. Lord, that sounded cheesy.
3. What exactly are you wearing right now? Jeans, black tank top and my super bitchen new fingerless gloves.
4. What is your current problem? My idea for the cuffs on my sis's gloves didn't work out. So now I have to pick up stitches, which I hate. Feel special Molly!
5. What do you love most? That's a no brainer, my children.
6. What makes you most happy? When Ellie sees me and jumps up and down screeching with happiness or when Abie tugs on my leg and begs "Mama, hold the Wewe"
7. Are you musically inclined? More then I thought, but still less then most people.
8. If you could go back in time, and change something what would it be? Nothing, everything that has happened in my life has made me the person I am today. And I think I turned out pretty fantastic, critics be damned.
9. Ever have a near-death experience? Been near death but there was no 'experience' behind it. Unless you count drug induced hallucinations.
10. Name an obvious quality you have. I'm passionate, or angry depending on who you ask ;)
11. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now? Xeper "Jesus Was A Capricorn"
12. Any celeb you would marry? OMG I have like a whole list...
13. Name someone with the same birthday as you. Eh...I dunno. Oh wait, I think Dennis Rodman does but I could be wrong.
14. Do you have a crush on someone? Who doesn't?
15. Have you ever vandalized someones private property? Yup
16. Have you ever been in a fight? Yup
17. Have you ever sung in front of a large audience? Do grade school musicals count?
18. What's the first thing you notice about the OPPOSITE sex? Arms
19. What do you usually order from Starbucks? Nothing since I LOATHE them body and soul.
20. Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose? Yup
21. Say something totally random about yourself. I really like spinach a lot.
22. Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity? Yes, Linda Blair. To which I like to reply: "Only when I f*ck myself with a cross"
23. Do you wear a watch? When I jog or hike.
24. Do you have anything pierced? Yup
25. Do you have any tattoos? Yup
26. Do you like pain? *lol* Yup
27. Do you like to shop? Not really.
28. What was the last thing you paid for with cash? Yesterday, decaf coffee with soy milk and no sugar.
29. What was the last thing you paid for with a credit card? I haven't had a card in a long long time.
30. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone? Tony
31. What is on your desktop background? B&W abandoned warehouse pic
32. What is the background on your cell phone? No cell phone
33. Do you like redheads? Sure.
34. Do you know any twins? Yup
35. Do you have any weird relatives? Every last one of them.
36. What was the last movie you watched? Mansquito, baby. Soooo good.
37. What was the last book you read? A book on Norse Mythology.
38. Did you or are you planning to go to college? Yes, eventually.
39. What is your favorite pair of pants that you own? Jean capris

It so funky and ugly that it is utterly fantastic.

And today I am grateful that I have no plans so I can cuddle on the couch with Tony while the kids nap and knit the left one!

Oktoberfest Schmoktoberfest

Posted on 2006.09.16 at 07:34
Current Music: Xeper - Winter's Best (Live)
So we ended up not going because we couldn't get a sitter till late and and I was just too lazy to go drink in the rain. So instead we drank at home where is was warm. We tried this new fantastic beer...
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

and watched "Schizopolis". Which was so funny even Tony laughed out loud. I highly recommend both the beer and the movie.
Plus I started knitting some gorgeous lace up gauntlets in this great yarn I got for 50% off at Craft Warehouse.

For the very first night Abie and Ellie slept in the same room. They must have spent an hour laughing at each other when they went to bed. Then again laughing at 6 this morning, sleep and now more laughing at 7:45. Hopefully if they get less sleep they at least become closer.

Last but not least my Dad is coming down today. It was his birthday this week and he wanted to see his grandkids. So like every gift giving occasion for my Dad it results in my wandering aimlessly around the bookstore trying to think like him. Which always leaves me finding a zillion things my Mom would love (like the "Stuff On My Cat" book) and my Dad would hate. Ultimately I end up picking a book I would find fascinating that I think he would enjoy to. So really it amounts to my thinking like myself but just not picking a book about roman history or norse mythology. The result is a book on the history of the Freemasons. Hopefully he'll enjoy it.

Oh yeah and today I am grateful I get to see my Dad.

Oktoberfest and The Gratitude Project

So Tony, I and some friends are going to Oktoberfest tonight. Which will be great but it's raining which sucks. However if memory serves me correctly the beer gardens are in tents. So today I am grateful for tents, friends and beer. Hey it must be a good day if I can come up with three things!

So I was gone and I slacked on this so I'll cram the missing days into one entry...

Friday: I was grateful to be going to retreat, yayyyy.

Saturday: I was grateful to find service for my cell and FINALLY get to talk to Tony and Abie. And Abie even said "Miss Mama" when I was talking to him. *Weeps mommy tears*

Sunday: I was grateful to have done such a total kick ass retreat and get to come home to my family who I missed TERRIBLY.

Monday: I was grateful to discover that Tony and I really do hold the same beliefs.

Tuesday: I am grateful it's my night to go out with friends. Even though really I want to skip out and stay home with Tony and the kids.
