Lately I haven't been good at posting or checking LJ. But now I have to do myspace because it's the only way I can really contact my brother. If you're interested check me out there, same user name. only black. Not only that but I really like it and am excited about it. I'm officially lame. But at least I have enough space for the kids and all their crap!

Happy Anniversary to Tony and I. 5 whole years and we still adore each other (most days). Here are out new wedding rings. (I swear my finger is swollen and totally not that fat normally.)

I'm so bummed I didn't here about Sock Wars  until now. *sigh* But if it happens next year, I am so there. Who cares if I end up with a pair of unwearable animal business socks. I know more then a few people who would appreciate the regifting.

Oh well back to the 16 pies and 67 dishes for tonight's equinox/harvest dinner.

Today I am grateful for doom metal. Which, as it turns out, you totally CAN run to.

So here it is, one of Molly's fingerless gloves. I designed the pattern myself. And I must admit, it came out fantastically well. The thumb increases left funky holes but they go all the way around so it looks like a design element. The picture doesn't quite do it justice, and so far all my friends surveyed love it.

2. What's your current relationship status? Taken forever and ever. Lord, that sounded cheesy.

I finished them last night! (Excuse the bad picture it was dark and we have poor lighting in the bedroom)...And now since I'm on a fingerless gloves kick I will cast on for my sisters pair. *runs off to play with yarn*

Here's the first one, which I finished last night while watching Law and Order reruns (yaayy for lazy nights)...


It so funky and ugly that it is utterly fantastic.

And today I am grateful that I have no plans so I can cuddle on the couch with Tony while the kids nap and knit the left one!

So we ended up not going because we couldn't get a sitter till late and and I was just too lazy to go drink in the rain. So instead we drank at home where is was warm. We tried this new fantastic beer...


and watched "Schizopolis". Which was so funny even Tony laughed out loud. I highly recommend both the beer and the movie.
Plus I started knitting some gorgeous lace up gauntlets in this great yarn I got for 50% off at Craft Warehouse.

For the very first night Abie and Ellie slept in the same room. They must have spent an hour laughing at each other when they went to bed. Then again laughing at 6 this morning, sleep and now more laughing at 7:45. Hopefully if they get less sleep they at least become closer.

Last but not least my Dad is coming down today. It was his birthday this week and he wanted to see his grandkids. So like every gift giving occasion for my Dad it results in my wandering aimlessly around the bookstore trying to think like him. Which always leaves me finding a zillion things my Mom would love (like the "Stuff On My Cat" book) and my Dad would hate. Ultimately I end up picking a book I would find fascinating that I think he would enjoy to. So really it amounts to my thinking like myself but just not picking a book about roman history or norse mythology. The result is a book on the history of the Freemasons. Hopefully he'll enjoy it.

Oh yeah and today I am grateful I get to see my Dad.

So Tony, I and some friends are going to Oktoberfest tonight. Which will be great but it's raining which sucks. However if memory serves me correctly the beer gardens are in tents. So today I am grateful for tents, friends and beer. Hey it must be a good day if I can come up with three things!

I am getting so so very lazy on this. Okay...

Wednesday: I was grateful for my doctor, who kicks doctor bootie.

Today: I am grateful for naps, because I have been so sluggish lately I have taken a glorious nap everyday this week.

So I was gone and I slacked on this so I'll cram the missing days into one entry...

Friday: I was grateful to be going to retreat, yayyyy.

Saturday: I was grateful to find service for my cell and FINALLY get to talk to Tony and Abie. And Abie even said "Miss Mama" when I was talking to him. *Weeps mommy tears*

Sunday: I was grateful to have done such a total kick ass retreat and get to come home to my family who I missed TERRIBLY.

Monday: I was grateful to discover that Tony and I really do hold the same beliefs.

Tuesday: I am grateful it's my night to go out with friends. Even though really I want to skip out and stay home with Tony and the kids.

Today I am grateful I'm learning how to crochet. I can now officially make a chain and do single crochet. Yayy for me!

I'm grateful I get to go back to Stitch 'n Bitch and that Michelle is going to teach me how to crochet. Yaaayyy for Michelle and giant balls of pretty purple yarn!
